a tune I'm going to keep workshopping, there will probably be a hundred more takes of this one. really points out some things I should work on. Also working on konitz' solo on the studio take of Move (from Birth of the Cool). memorized (for the first time) from the transcription then went and listened to it. it's freaking fast. so that and the gig yesterday have got me seriously bummed about my playing ability.
recorded with my fancy mic on my amp. you can seriously tell the difference from the previous recording of unity village -- a much brighter, realer sound. I like it.
went to my friend's father's shop today and got a quote on a custom desktop. going to be a few hundred dollars more than I thought, but I'm okay with that. biggest question is to go with the AMD Phenom II or the Intel I7.
any comments on anything (recording crits, computers, hellos) would be lovely. it's very difficult to keep this thing going just for myself.
