365 Day 156: Aerie
fiddling with the LADSPA plugins. source sound is my fan. there's some serious distortion, a pitch shifter, ring modulator, and hard limiter near the end there (that one was sweet).

Coagulate
So, I've decided to forego the academic music talk that used to comprise this blog, and make it a place for showcasing short recordings of mine. I've always been jealous of visual artists simply having an online portfolio or a sketch blog, so I figured this is the best I'll get until I take up drawing.
Coagulate is a short piece I did as part of a reflection on the experience of being the "musician" -- writing and performing most of the music onstage -- in a production of Hamlet. This piece reflects the creative process the director, and thus I, went through.

(my first post "away" from academia, and already I've used an em-dash.)
