365 mass update: Days 218, 219, 220, and 221

So it's been a busy weekend, and though I didn't post my recordings, I still actually did them. Actually, I think all I've done for the past three or four days is drink and play bass. So here are my recordings:

365 Day 218: YNOTW Teaser
Your Neck of the Woods had a swell gig at Toronto's Cameron House which we are planning on selling full copies of. This is a little teaser for that.

365 Day 219: Studio Friday
In the studio friday evening, all day saturday and half of sunday. Recording Ben Doerksen's solo stuff with Julia Stead and Josh Doerksen. It's all amazing music, but I'm am completely tuckered out now. I'm not sure if these count as my 365 recordings or if the actual stuff we were in the studio to record does, but whatever. I did them either way.

365 Day 214: I Made the Law (cover)

Originally by The Acorn. Practiced using compression on it, and it worked really well - it's at the volume where it sounds natural after a "professionally masted" punk tune (only thing I really have to test against, my external hdd isn't plugged in). Only thing is that it brought out the distortion in my acoustic's line in -- probably battery was dying, may also have to do with the fact that I was overdriving the channel for half of the recording and didn't bother redoing it (first take ftw). still fairly happy with it.

this was one of the last songs we did at the end of the night. I'd been playing on and off for over two hours, which was very enjoyable but tiring for my hands and wrists.
